Kant’ın estetik anlayışı ve bunun edebi eleştiriciliğe etkisi

Abstract

Immanuel Kant, 18 ve 19. yüzyıllarda yaşamış, önemli bir filozoftur. Sokrates, Platon, Aristoteles’in Antik Yunan felsefesinde ne kadar önemliyse Kant da Hegel ve Hume gibi isimlerle birlikte Yakın Çağ’da aynı öneme sahiptir. Kant, eleştirel düşünce yöntemi ile felsefede yeni bir anlayışa imza atmıştır. Yazdığı Saf Aklın Eleştirisi, Pratik Aklın Eleştirisi ve Yargı Gücünün Eleştirisi bu eleştirel felsefenin en değerli eserlerini teşkil etmektedir. Kant’ın üçüncü eleştirel eseri olan Yargı Gücünün Eleştirisi, beğeni yargısı ve estetik ile ilgili görüşlerini içermektedir. Baumgarten ile başlayan estetiği farklı bir zemine oturtma düşüncesi, Kant ile meşru bir zemine kavuşmuştur. Kant’ın estetik özerklik, amaçsız amaçlılık kavramları edebî eleştiriciliği doğrudan etkilemiştir. Nitekim bu kavramlar özellikle metin merkezli eleştiri anlayışlardan Yeni Eleştiricilik (Anglo Amerikan Eleştiri), Rus Biçimciliği ve Çek Yapısalcılığı ekollerinin felsefî temellerini oluşturmaktadır. Bu yüzden bu çalışmada da öncelikle Kant’ın beğeni yargı ve estetiğe dair görüşleri ele alınarak iyi, güzel ve hoş kavramlarına ışık tutulmuş, güzelin mahiyeti üzerinde durularak onun özelliklerine değinilmiştir. Kant’ın özellikle vurguladığı estetik özerklik ve amaçsız amaçlılık anlayışları irdelendikten sonra da Kant’ın görüşlerinin etkilediği Yeni Eleştiricilik (Anglo Amerikan Eleştiri), Rus Biçimciliği ve Çek Yapısalcılığı ekolleri tanıtılarak Kant’ın kendilerini ne yönde etkilediği tartışılmıştır.

Immanuel Kant is an important philosopher who lived in the 18th and 19th centuries. As important as Socrates, Plato and Aristotle were in Ancient Greek philosophy, Kant, along with names such as Hegel and Hume, has the same importance in the Modern Age. Kant has signed a new understanding in philosophy with the method of critical thinking. His Critique of Pure Reason, Critique of Practical Reason, and Critique of Judgment constitute the most valuable works of this critical philosophy. The Critique of Judgment, Kant's third critical work, includes his opinions on the judgment of taste and aesthetics. The idea of putting aesthetics on a different ground, which started with Baumgarten, gained a legitimate ground with Kant. Kant's concepts of aesthetic autonomy and purposeless purposefulness directly affected literary criticism. As a matter of fact, these concepts constitute the philosophical foundations of the New Criticism (Anglo-American Criticism), Russian Formalism and Czech Structuralism schools, which are especially text-centered criticism. Therefore, in this study, first of all, Kant's views on taste, judgment and aesthetics are discussed and the concepts of good, beautiful and pleasant are shed light on, and its characteristics are mentioned by emphasizing the nature of the beautiful. After examining the understanding of aesthetic autonomy and purposeless purposefulness that Kant especially emphasized, the New Criticism (AngloAmerican Criticism), Russian Formalism and Czech Structuralism schools, which were influenced by Kant's views, were introduced and how Kant influenced them was discussed.
