Balıkesir'de eğitim

Abstract

Balıkesir'de eğitim, bilinen tarih içinde Romalılar dönemine kadar uzanmaktadır. Türklerin bölgeye gelmesiyle birlikte eğitim camilerde verilmeye başlanmış, Karesi Beyliği zamanında gelişmiş, Osmanlı İmparatorluğu döneminde de açılan zaviyeler, sıbyan mektepleri ve medreselerle gelişimini sürdürmüştür. 1850'lerden sonra moderne eğitim yolunda okullaşma başlamıştır. Rüştiye, öğretmen okulu, çıraklık okulu, sultani ve özel ilkokul ile şoför okulu açılmıştır. Cumhuriyet ile birlikte eğitim yeni bir alana girmiştir. Hızla ilkokulların, ortaokulların ve liselerin sayısı artmıştır. 1980'lerde okul öncesi eğitim başlamıştır. I990'lı yıllarda ise özel eğitimin bölgede önemi anlaşılmıştır. 1997-98'den sonra 8 yıllık kesintisiz eğitime geçilmiş, ilk ve ortaokullar birleştirilerek ilköğretim okuluna dönüştürülmüştür. Genel liseler kavramı içinde bulunan Balıkesir Lisesinden sonra diğer liseler, Meslek Liseleri, Anadolu Liseleri ve Fen Lisesi açılmıştır. Liseler kendi içinde genel ve yabancı dil ağırlıklı olarak ayrılmıştır. Meslek liselerinin bir kısmı bazı ilçelerde, imkanlarının bir çatı altında birleştirilmesiyle çok programlı liseler açılmıştır. Ayrıca Çıraklık Eğitim Merkezleri, eğitim araçları merkezi, halk eğitim merkezi, rehberlik araştırma merkezi, özel eğitim kurumları bulunan ilde 1944'Ierde Balıkesir Necati Eğitim Enstitüsü ile başlayan Yüksek Öğrenim, 1975'den sonra şekillenmiş ve 1993'de Balıkesir Üniversitesi kurulmuştur. Çağın gereklerinden de faydalanılarak eğitimde gelişmeler artarak sürdürülmektedir. Makalemizde, genel bir bakış ile bugünkü durumun sayılar ile tespiti yapılmaktadır.

Education in Balıkesir reaches back to the Romans era. After Turks had come to the region, it was begun to be given at mosques. In the time of Karesi domination in the region, it was developed, and during the Ottoman Empire era, was maintained developing with zaviye (schools which give education with view of religion), sibyan schools (give education to the children) and medrese (muslini theological schools). After 1850's with the aim of modern education, modern schools framework was started to be build up. Rüştiye (Junior High School), school of teacher, school of apprenticeship, sultanî (High School), private school and school of chauffeur were opened. With the foundation of Turkish Republic, education entered to a new area. Amount of elementary schools, junior high schools and high schools was increased. In 1980's, preschool education was initiated. In the region, importance of private education was understood. After 1997-98, eight years uninterrupted education process was started, elementary and junior high schools were incorporated and transformed to the primary education schools. After Balıkesir High School, which is placed in the concept of general high school, Metier (profession) High Schools, Anatolia High Schools and Science High Schools are opened. High Schools are divided two among themselves as general high school and foreign language weighted. In some boroughs, Multi Programmed High Schools were opened by collecting some resources of a part of Metier High Schools under one roof. Furthermore, in the city that has Apprenticeship Education Centre, Education Instruments Centre, Public Education Centre, Psychological Consultancy Research Centre, Private Education Foundations, Higher Education, which was started in 1944, got it's form after 1975's, and Balıkesir University was established in 1993. By taking advantage of requirement of the age, development in education is maintained increasingly. In this article, situation of today was determined with general view.
