Ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin kimya derslerinde problem çözme güçlükleri-I: deneyimli kimya öğretmenlerine göre

Abstract

Bu çalışma, ortaöğretim öğrencilerinin kimya dersindeki problem çözme güçlüklerini tespit etmek amacıyla gerçekleştirilmiştir. Bu amaçla, Balıkesir ilinde yer alan 15 farlı ortaöğretim kurumundan, 35 deneyimli kimya öğretmenine toplam 10 soruluk bir anket uygulanmıştır. Ayrıca bu örneklemde yer alan 10 kimya öğretmeniyle ikili görüşme yapılmıştır. Verilen yanıtların analizinden, öğrencilerin kimya problemlerini çözmede yaşadıkları en önemli sorunun problemi anlama basamağında olduğu belirlenmiştir.

This study was conducted to determine the difficulties faced by the high school students about problem solving in chemistry. For this reason, a 10 item questionnaire was applied to 35 experienced chemistry teachers working at 15 different high schools in Balıkesir. In addition to this, 10 of these teachers were one-on-one interviewed. The analysis of the answers indicates that the most important problem encountered by the students is the first step: the understanding the meaning of the problem.
