| dc.description.abstract | The maturity concept, determined by the combined effects of temperature and time, is a useful technique for the prediction of the concrete strength. According to the concept, concrete samples having same maturity level would have approximately same strength values whatever combination of temperature and time to reach the maturity level. Many maturity functions have been proposed in the past 50 years. The validity of these functions are only for the ordinary Portland cements. In this study, the effects of different type of Portland-pozzolan cements on the traditional maturity functions were investigated; and new maturity-strength relationships were tried to be established. | |
