A comparison between Şeyyad Hamza's work "Yusuf and Züleyha" and Tatar Turks' the Book of "Yosif"

Abstract

Studies in the area of Turkish folklore have been conducted in an increasingly comparative fashion since the 1990s. These days, most of the folk narratives, traditions and religions that belong to Turkish folk literature are also examined with respect to their areas of distribution, similarities and differences. The aim of this paper is to conduct a comparative analysis of Şeyyad Hamza's Yusuf u Züleyha and the Tatar Turks' Yosif Kitabi.
