Güçlendirme modelinin kullanımına örnek bir olgu çalışması: İnme rehabilitasyonu

Abstract

İnme bireylerde engellilik oranını arttıran önemli sağlık sorunlarının başında yer almaktadır. Rehabilitasyon girişimleri engellilik seviyesini azaltıcı etkisi nedeniyle inmeli olgularda yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. İnme sonrasında rehabilitasyon sürecine erken başlamak iyileşmeyi olumlu yönde etkileyerek engelliliği minimal düzeye indirmektedir. Özellikle ilk altı ay içindeki rehabilitasyon girişimleri daha etkilidir. İnmeli olguların tedavi, öz bakım ve rehabilitasyon süreçleri ile ilgili bilgilendirilmesi dolayısıyla güçlendirilmesi önemlidir. Rehabilitasyon hemşiresi bu süreçteki olguyu yaşam şekli değişiklikleriyle baş etmede destekler, güçlendirir. Güçlendirilmiş olgu; güçlendirme sürecinin aktif öznesi olan ve yapabilir hale gelen bireydir. Bu olgu çalışması ile rehabilitasyon hemşiresinin inme bakımında kullandığı güçlendirme modelinin olumlu etkilerine dikkat çekmek ve model kullanımı konusunda rehberlik etmek amaçlandı.

Stroke is one of the most critical health problems that increase the rate of disability. Rehabilitation interventions are widely used in the treatment of stroke patients due to their effect of reducing the level of disability. Starting the rehabilitation process early after stroke positively affects the recovery and minimizes disability. Rehabilitation interventions are more effective, especially in the first six months. It is essential to inform stroke patients about treatment, self-care, and rehabilitation processes. The rehabilitation nurse supports and empowers the stroke patients during this process in coping with lifestyle changes. The empowered case is the individual who is the active subject of the empowerment process and becomes capable. With this case study, it was aimed to draw attention to the positive effects of the empowerment model used by the rehabilitation nurse in stroke care and emphasize the use of the model.
